Here is the first of many photo shoots that will be available on thinkpierce.com. In the previous version of thinkpierce.com, the photo gallery was a big part of the site and it will be in the new version as well. The photo shoots are a great way to depict something funny or creative under the Thinkpierce umbrella. In addition to new photo shoots like this one, I’ll also be re-introducing a smorgasbord of previous Thinkpierce photo shoots as well, each one with an inspiration all their own. This particular shoot titled “The Cruiser”, came about because up and coming photographer Sara Christian asked me to pose as an “angry customer” for a photo that was to be part of a school assignment. When approaching me, she had no idea that I would instantly brainstorm another photo shoot of my own that we could do immediately afterword!! Luckily, she agreed.
My inspiration came from a couple of old Honda Accords I had purchased roughly 2 years ago. I had always wanted to do a photo shoot with one of the Honda’s in particular because it was so “classic”. I brought Justin Kila in to the mix and what proceeded to be captured was the very essence of testosterone and adrenaline acceleration that occurs when two guys get around an awesome vehicle. Our shoot which was in a parking lot across from Woodland Hills Mall, wouldn’t have been complete of course without a visit from mall security. Fortunately, after receiving an explanation that satisfied their concerns, they didn’t have to get the Feds involved. But if you ever want to light up every walkie talkie from the entrance of Macy’s to the exit of Dillard’s, just park your car across the street, get out a couple of ridiculous props, start posing like a rockstar and then wait for a concerned parking lot attendant decked out in a helmet and Oakleys to pull up in a Segway. Many more photo shoots are ahead. Look forward to something new every Friday on thinkpierce.com…
